Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Taters app, provided by Beyond West Foundry. By using Taters you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
Your account
You need an account to use Taters. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@mytaters.com if you believe it has been compromised. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
Your content
Recipes, photos, notes, and lists you add remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content back to you and to any household you choose to share it with.
You are responsible for the content you add — including having the right to upload it. Do not use Taters to store or share anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
AI recipe extraction
Taters can import a recipe from a web address or a photo using an AI provider. Two things follow from that:
- Extraction is best-effort. The result may be incomplete or wrong — quantities, times, and temperatures included. Check an imported recipe before you rely on it.
- Import responsibly. Importing a recipe for your own personal use is generally fine; redistributing someone else's copyrighted recipe text is not, and is your responsibility rather than ours.
Extraction is subject to a monthly limit that depends on your plan. We may adjust these limits, and will give reasonable notice of a reduction to a paid plan.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are sold and billed through Google Play. We never receive your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in your Play Store account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Deleting your Taters account does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel it separately in the Play Store or billing will continue.
- Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy.
- A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
Households
A paid plan may be shared with a household of up to 6 people. Content shared into a household is visible to all of its members, and any member may edit shared recipes. Only the person who shared a recipe can delete it for everyone.
If the household's paid entitlement lapses, the household becomes read-only after a short grace period. Nothing is deleted.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent limits on the service;
- attempt to access other users' data;
- reverse engineer or interfere with the app's security controls; or
- use the service to break the law.
Availability
We aim to keep Taters running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending your use
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account or via our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
Taters is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Recipe content — particularly nutrition figures, cooking times, and allergen information — is informational only and may be inaccurate. Use your own judgement when cooking, and do not rely on Taters for allergy or dietary safety.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Continuing to use Taters after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway.
